My story so Far

I’m Puck, a Dutch photographer and visual storyteller with a love for capturing people, places and the feeling of a moment.

Travel has shaped almost everything about the way I see the world. I grew up in Arnhem, but from a young age I was lucky enough to experience different countries, cultures and ways of living with my family. Looking back, I think that is where my curiosity really began.

At 18, after finishing high school, I started filming my everyday life during my first gap year. Nothing particularly polished or professional, just moments I wanted to remember. But that was the beginning of something. I became fascinated by how a photo or video could preserve not only what happened, but how a moment felt.

Since then, travel has taken me through Europe, Asia, Latin America and Australia. I’ve lived in places for months at a time, worked along the way, travelled alone, changed plans completely, made mistakes, met people from all over the world and learned to become comfortable with not always knowing what comes next.

Somewhere along that journey, carrying a camera became much more than documenting my own life.

While living on Koh Tao in Thailand, I started offering photography professionally and putting my work out into the world for the first time. It gave me the confidence to see creativity as something I could build a life around, rather than something I simply did for myself.

Today, I mainly create photography and cinematic reels, with a focus on atmosphere, emotion and storytelling. I’m drawn to work that feels natural and immersive, whether I’m photographing a person, documenting an experience, capturing a place or creating visual content for a brand.

I still don’t like putting myself into one strict creative category. I enjoy experimenting, learning new techniques and stepping outside my comfort zone. My style continues to develop as I do, shaped by the places I go, the people I meet and the things that catch my attention along the way.

What matters most to me is creating something that makes you feel something. A memory, a sense of place, curiosity, nostalgia, excitement or simply the desire to look a little longer.

I don’t know exactly where this journey will take me, and I think that is part of what I love about it.

For now, I’ll keep exploring, creating and documenting the story as it unfolds.
