I was born in Arnhem, the Netherlands, on June 24, 2002, during a full moon. Arnhem would be home for the first eighteen years of my life, but growing up, the world outside of it was always present.

My parents were adventurous and travelling was a big part of our family life. We explored almost every corner of Europe, spent winters skiing and summers somewhere new, and travelled further to places like Thailand, Hong Kong, Cape Verde, Dubai and New Zealand.

At the time, they were simply family holidays. Looking back, I realise how much they shaped me.

Being introduced to different countries, cultures, landscapes, food and ways of living so young gave me a curiosity that never really disappeared. I learned early that the world could look completely different depending on where you were standing.

Arnhem gave me somewhere to call home.

Travelling taught me that home did not necessarily have to be one place.
